Black Coffee

Kedua orang tua saya paling hobi minum kopi, jadi dulu sewaktu mama saya seduh kopi saya sering sekali seruput kopi yang terlihat masih nganggur dimeja kerja mama saya.

Kopi Sidikalang menjadi kopi andalan mama saya. Saya ingat betul mama selalu seduh kopi segelas penuh.

Sebelumnya kami menghabiskan 200 sachet kopi/bulan sekarang hanya 500gr bubuk kopi. dulu 3-4 cangkir/hari sekarang 1-2 cangkir/hari.

Teaching Kids Dressing Skill

it's almost fall and you know what that means, back to school! And if your home is anything like mine, fall is also the season of crazy mornings, making breakfasts and coffee, packing lunches and backpacks, and trying to get out the door in time for school and work! The mornings during the school year can be so busy that I often feel like I've lived an entire day  before I even pull into my parking spot at office!

Did you know that kids begin to demonstrate dressing skills as early as one year old as part of typical child development? Here are the aes at which most kids are able to complete various dressing skills

Practice pulling clothing up and down, on and off.

1. Snap together two Rapper Snappers and then snap the ends together to make a circle. Have the child put the loop over his head and pull/push it down over his body to his feet. Then have him pull it back up over his body and up and over his head! Rapper Snappers are great a great tool for his because you can adjust the size of the circle, making it smaller for more of a challenge or bigger for easier practice.

2. Tie a length of Theraband in a loop. Make the loop large enough that it will fit around the widest part of the child's body, but, not much bigger than that you want there to be some resistance for the child to have to work against. Have the child take the loop of Theraband and pull it over his head and down over is entire body to his feet and back up again! See how quickly he can do it, and repeat severeal times for practice. This simulates pulling a shirt and pants up and down on the body.

3. Make smaller loops with the Theraband and have the child pull them into and off of his feet to practice with putting on and taking off shoes and socks.

4. Another great way to practice putting on taking off shoes is with slippers! They're softer, less rigid, and easier to get on and off but still require the same movement and a little bit of strength too!

Use the “Flip Trick”!

This one is great for increasing your child’s independence with putting on his coat.  Place his coat on a table, chair, or couch with the collar toward the edge (front of the coat should be facing up).  Have the child stand at the edge of the surface and place his hands and arms partway through the sleeves.  Show him how to flip the coat up and over his head, sliding it the rest of the way onto his arms as he goes!

Play Dress-Up!

As an OT, this is my favorite way to work on dressing and clothing fasteners with kids.  Practicing putting your clothes on is a whole lot more fun when you come out looking like a firefighter or a princess, right?  Keep a bin of dress-up clothes in your living room or classroom and encourage kids to put on and take off shirts, dresses, pants, and accessories.  Bigger clothes are great for practicing the motions needed for dressing without the resistance of tight elastic or tight-fitting items.

Save it for Bedtime and Bath Time!

I often recommend to the families I work with at school to save practice with dressing skills until the evening, when things aren’t as rushed and stressful.  Have kids help with taking off their clothes at the end of the day and then with putting on their pajamas, socks, and slippers!  The most important thing is to give kids an opportunity at some point during the day to practice these skills independently!

Work on Clothing Fasteners

As your child is working on dressing and undressing himself, you can also work in some practice with the fine motor skills needed for buttons, zippers, and other clothing fasteners too!

Digital Marketing Vs Event Planner

General Assembly's Tips For Social Innovators Who Are Ready To Level-Up

One of the most critical skills of the 21st century is the ability to understand and manipulate technology and design to deliver superior products and services. But while the for-profit sector spends billions of dollars on skilling-up their talent pipelines, social sector organizations are still struggling to capture and retain people with these high-demand skillsets.
What if you were to grow these skills in-house, instead of waiting for the engineer who’s willing to take a pay cut or the designer whose personal passion is social change? There are now a range of affordable online programs that can help give you the tools to build on your passion for innovation.
In my time at General Assembly I’ve seen lower levels of participation in our tech and business programs from those working in nonprofits or government when compared with the private sector. While affordability may have once been a barrier for many changemakers, online education is making it possible for everyone to benefit from this movement.
There are many kinds of educational institutions that can help you learn the skills you want. For the sake of this article, I’ve focused on online education bootcamps, which offer a shorter, faster-paced learning experience, delivered online. Ready to get educated? Here’s a quick guide on how to choose the right online education program for you.

When it comes to your online educational program here are five factors to consider:

Know your goal
Whether trying to solve a particular work challenge or get a new job in design or development, knowing what you want to get out of your educational experience is critical. Many programs cater to specific career goals (such as getting a job) or a particular outcome (learning to build a website). Either way, by knowing your goal upfront, you can select the program that gets you there. CourseReport.com is a great resource as you’re trying to select the right bootcamp; offering a directory of schools, course schedules, and interviews with teachers, founders, students, and alumni.

General Assembly's Tips For Social Innovators Who Are Ready To Level-Up

Some students prefer to work independently, while others crave a classroom and lots of group activity. Many of us are auditory learners and do well with watching videos or following lectures. Others need hands-on elements, such as code challenges or labs, where they are able to better grasp concepts once they’ve actually practiced doing them. Most students are some combination of all of the above. Once you have a sense of where you lie on that spectrum, figure out which program caters to your learning style. For example, not all students are made for the fast-paced, intensive learning that bootcamps offer, so know what you’re signing up for before you make the commitment!

Level of support
Similar to learning style, we’ve seen a huge variety in the level of support and guidance that students need when learning a new skill. So many students whom we’ve worked with at GA come to us after several failed attempts at learning on their own, only realizing later that they didn’t set themselves up in the environment that would make them successful. On the flip side, we’ve seen more than 200,000 students take advantage of Dash, our free, self-paced online learning tool to code basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Moreover, we’ve also seen that students who are learning a complimentary skillset, i.e. one they have had some kind of exposure to, are able to grasp the new skills much more quickly. For example, architects have a leg up when learning user experience design, and management consultants are able to make a smoother transition to product management.

Commitment
As the saying goes, you get from it what you put into it, and education is no different. The number-one predictor of your success is you and the level of commitment you make to your educational experience. Whether we like it or not, life gets in the way and we’ve seen time and again that those students who establish a commitment upfront are the ones who make it through. At GA, we call it grit and it’s something we discuss with all our students before they sign up. Whatever education solution you pick, make sure you are clear about the level of time and effort it will require, and don’t give up!

Cost
Pricing for bootcamp education is incredibly varied, with everything from free self-paced learning platforms (CodeAcademy, Dash), to pay-as-you-go models (Coursera, Udemy, FrontRow), to predefined experiences that optimize for a specific outcome (GA’s Web Design Circuit). I recommend finalizing your budget once you know where you stand on the four criteria outlined above. Even if you don’t have a lot to spend, many bootcamps are improving affordability of education by offering payment plans, financing and/or scholarships. At GA, we launched the Opportunity Fund, allowing underrepresented individuals to access our educational opportunities.

Aditi is the General Manager of Online Courses at General Assembly. She is passionate about the international talent deficit and how online education, such as the Web Design Circuit, can help address that by driving accessibility and affordability to underrepresented populations.

Compelling Content Creation

How to make compelling content? I personally do many steps to make every content have meaning that can be attached to many people. There are steps that can be a reference for making compelling content:

1. Think Like a Journalist

Before getting too bogged down with the meat-and-veg of the content, remember that you'll win or lose about 89% of your target audience with your headlines and intros alone. Win them over here and you'll have a much easier jo b with the rest.

2. Inspiration

If you're in the midst of a dry spell, try finding out what pearls of wisdom are floating around the brains of those around you. Family, friends and colleagues alike even those with no interest in your niche can offer new and intersting perspectives.

3.Bite Sized

If you think they'll be willing to read ream after ream of text until they find something of interest, think again. A few lines is all you've got before they get bored and do a runner, so be sure to keep when you're saying concise, to the point and ideally in bite sized chunks.

4. News Jack

The nature of the news world has always been one of poaching other people's strories and headlines. The key is getting their first and making it your own. As such, never underestimate the importance of keeping one finger on the pulse of your niche at all times, sharing anything you hear of interest before it goes stale.

5. Keep it Conversational

English that's over formal is a big turn off for most as you quickly feel like you're being lectured, rather than informed. So, be sure to keep the tone always at an appropriately conversational level, without crossing the line into inappropriateness.

6. Don't Oversell it

Your audience already knows that you think you're great, so there's really no need to keep blowing your own trumpet and going for the hardsell. If you do, anything you say will lose its sparkle and be interpreted as pure sales spiel.

7. With Photos Keep it real

If planning to use any images whatsover to back-up your text, don't fall into the habit of using those oh-so easy and readily available stock photos. Sure they look nice, but they don't tell your readers anything about you and what makes you tick.

8. Invite guests

Guest posts not only allowed for new angles and new inspiration, but also show readers thath you're welcoming and open hugely attrctive traits. Whether it's guest blog, a comments section or a simple open invite to share a few views, you can't go wrong when they're doing the graft for you.

9. Reach Out

If you seem to be constantly striking out in term of figureing out take the bold and brave move to actually ask them> Send out a few emails, make a few calls or even post a few questions online wuitassuming you know what they want and find out for sure.

10.Memory Lane

If you strcuk gold in a big way with an amazing piece of content you wrote a few weeks or moths ago, don't godepriving your new and hugely valuable readers of its glory. Instead, repost it for those that haven't already read it, reuse and recycle at all times.

11. Honesty Policy

Don't pretend you know what you're talking about if you don't and worse still don't pretend to like something you hate. Your content will stink to high heaven of fabrication and send readers packing stick with what you know and love.

12. Do Your Homework

You don't have to guess what's hot and not right now in your niche you can count on Google and Co. To give you all the info you need. Look into plenty of up-to-date statistics and analytics to find what the masses are into and give it to them!

13. Navigation

Make it clear, easy and fast for readers to find what they need and where they need to go to find it. There's really no point promising them the world on your home page if they then can't find where to click to move forward moillions of conversions are lost this way every minute of every day.

14.  Keep 'em Seperated

Topics with theirs own lading pages have much better convertation rates then those squeezed in o other nondedicated pages. Fact! As such, it is vital that you give every topic you consider to be of importance its own landing page this is a great way of conveying its importance to readers.

15.  Timelessness

When it comes to the permanent content on your pages, never include anything that can or will go stale in a matter of weeks. Or in other words, don't make permanent content relevant only to today make it evergreen so it's still as relevant in a year.

16. Transcribe

And for the last, don't forget that not every readers will be in position to listen to your audio and video content, so be sure to include transcriptions to be accesed when and where needed. The added bonus here is that these transcripts will be picked up and indexed by search engine spiders video and audio content will not.

Bekerja berkawan Kopi | Nikmati Kopi Mini Market

Happy New Year.
